Amir Vafadar, PhD
Director/Physiotherapist

Amir has been practicing physiotherapy for more than 13 years. Earning his Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy in 2004, he started to work in outpatient physiotherapy clinics, focusing on musculoskeletal disorders, geriatric rehabilitation, and sports injuries. He continued his education in the field of rehabilitation and earned a Master’s and then a Ph.D. degree in Rehabilitation Science from McGill University. In addition to his clinical work, Amir has been involved in many research projects and has published articles in peer-reviewed journals. He has also been teaching clinical labs of the physiotherapy program at McGill University. Amir combines his theoretical knowledge base and clinical skills in a problem-solving approach to treatment. This allows him to offer a unique blend of different treatment approaches to provide unique therapy and support for patients.
Amir opened Dena Sports Physio to share his experience and expertise with the community, focusing on providing individual attention and one-on-one care to patients in a friendly, clean and safe environment.
Ali Jamshidi, PhD

Ali started his physiotherapy career 28 years ago. Upon graduation, he started to work as a clinician, but had always the desire of expanding his clinical and research knowledge. Therefore, he continued his studies and received his master’s degree in 1995 followed by a doctoral degree in physiotherapy in 2005. At this year he got an academic position as an assistant professor at Iran University of Medical Sciences and in 2014 became an associate professor.
With an extensive clinical, research and teaching background, Ali emphasizes evidence-based practice and employs the most advanced methods in the treatment of his clients.
Sadi Firoozi, PhT.
Physiotherapist

Sadi graduated from Iran University of medical sciences in 1991. Working as a physiotherapist for several years including being the owner and director of a private rehabilitation center gave him the opportunity to be exposed to new experiences through visiting a wide variety of patients. Upon moving to Quebec in 2009, in order to expand his knowledge in the field of physiotherapy, he studied several specific courses at McGill University.
Working at different physiotherapy clinics with different therapeutic approaches has enhanced Sadi’s competency in the treatment of patients with complicated orthopedics and neuromuscular problems.
Sarah Friedman, DPT.
Physiotherapist

Sarah graduated from Touro College in Manhattan with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Her passion for working with children started in high school when she volunteered and later worked at a multidisciplinary early intervention clinic in Montreal. Her skills grew during her clinical affiliation at Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in New Jersey where she was responsible for evaluating and treating children in the NICU, PICU, and pediatric outpatient. She went on to work at a pediatric outpatient clinic in Chicago where she stayed for over 3 years, working with children ages 0-21 with a variety of diagnosis including developmental delay, stroke, cerebral palsy, torticollis, autism, etc.
Sarah is a big believer in evidence-based practice and always turns to the literature when creating and implementing a treatment plan. For Sarah, the most rewarding part of her job is watching her patients reach their goals and full potential. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, skiing, and watching hockey games!
Carine Zekry, Erg.
Occupational Therapist

Carine completed her Occupational Therapy (OT) program at Mcgill University and has been practicing for over 10 years. As an OT, Carine’s goal is to help people of all ages to improve their ability to perform tasks in their daily living and working environments. She has experience with a variety of patients; from working with children that have motor delays to working with adults that have work related injuries. Carine can also assess a clients’ capacity to return to work and educate clients in safe work practices.
Shevy Schwartz
Massage Therapist

Shevy Schwartz had always been a health and fitness enthusiast. Shevy got certified as a personal fitness trainer and continued her education, studying corrective conditioning, Group fitness, sports injuries, anatomy of stretching and muscle energy techniques.
Shevy then continued her education at Ecole Massotherapy Adam where she joined the association of the (SNMQ) Society Neuvelle Massotherapeute Quebec as a registered massage therapist. She is now on the teaching staff of Ecole Massotherapy Adam. Her specialty areas are full body transformation, therapeutic movements, corrective conditioning, pain relief, Swedish, therapeutic and deep tissue massage.
Shevy loves what she does and derives satisfaction from seeing others pain free. Helping others successfully transform their health is her motivation. Helping others maintain their goal is her inspiration. Witnessing success in her participants is her reward.
Ehab Khalil, DOMP
Osteopath

Ehab was naturally inclined to help people from an early stage in his life and had the dream of being a health care professional to stratify his utmost desire for helping people. He, therefore, decided to pursue his career in Osteopathy, which is considered a new healthcare career using natural techniques. He attended the National Academy of Osteopathy in Toronto and graduated with a Diploma in Osteopathic Manual Practice (DOMP).
Ehab is a member of, Regroupement des Intervenants et Thérapeutes en Médecine Alternative (RITMA) association, Canadian Union of Osteopathic Manual Practitioners (CUOMP) and Osteopathy Chronic Pain Clinics of Canada (OCPCC). He performs quality osteopathic treatments for people of all ages.
Bahman Fasihpour
Acupuncturist

Bahman Fasihpour has been working as a physician overseas, and an acupuncturist in Canada for several years. He, therefore, benefits from both modern and traditional medicine point of view in the treatment of his patients. Bahman analyzes the body-mind status and then tries to balance the body systems through natural methods of the T.C.M. (Traditional Chinese Medicine), specifically the Acupuncture.
Each acupuncture client will receive a personal analysis from the very first appointment, and throughout the follow-up treatment sessions will gradually meet the desired goal established on the first day.
