Your first visit

Knowing what to expect makes the first appointment easier. Here is how it works, from booking to your home program.

  1. 1. Booking

Request an appointment online or call 514-900-3959. Tell us which clinic you prefer, the reason for your visit in a few words, and whether it is a CNESST or SAAQ file.

  2. 2. Arrival

Arrive a few minutes early to complete the intake and consent forms. Your clinician reviews them with you.

  3. 3. Assessment

A detailed conversation about your problem, your health and your goals, followed by a physical examination adapted to your condition.

  4. 4. Explanation and plan

You get a clear explanation of the findings, the options, an estimated number of visits and what you can do yourself between sessions.

  5. 5. First treatment and home program

Treatment usually begins at the first visit, and you leave with a short set of exercises or advice.

Frequently asked questions

How long is the first appointment?

The first visit is longer than follow-ups because it includes a complete assessment. We confirm the length when we schedule it.

Can someone come with me?

Yes. A family member or caregiver is welcome, especially for older adults or children.

Will I receive treatment at the first visit?

In most cases, yes. Your clinician starts treatment after the assessment when it is safe and appropriate.
