Dena Sports Physio

Insurance and direct billing

We want payment to be the simplest part of your care. Here is how coverage works at our clinics — and what to check with your insurer before your first visit.

Private (group) insurance

Most group insurance plans reimburse physiotherapy, and many also cover occupational therapy, acupuncture, massage therapy and osteopathy. Coverage, annual maximums and conditions vary from one contract to another.

With participating insurers we can bill your insurer directly at the end of the visit; you pay only the balance not covered by your plan, if any. Otherwise, you pay at the clinic and submit the receipt we give you after every visit.

CNESST (work injuries)

Dena Sports Physio is a registered CNESST provider. When your claim is accepted, covered treatment is billed directly to the CNESST and you do not pay at the clinic. Bring your claim number and the medical prescription or report from your physician.

SAAQ (car accidents)

We are a registered SAAQ provider. When your treatment is approved, we bill the SAAQ directly. Bring your claim number and your medical documents.

Questions to ask your insurer

  • Which services are covered (physiotherapy, occupational therapy, acupuncture, massage, osteopathy)?
  • What is the annual maximum and the percentage reimbursed?
  • Is a doctor's prescription required for reimbursement?
  • Is there a per-visit limit?

Income tax

Amounts you pay for physiotherapy and other eligible care that are not reimbursed may qualify as medical expenses on your federal and Quebec tax returns. Keep your receipts and check the current rules or ask your tax preparer.

Frequently asked questions

Can you tell me if my plan covers my treatment?

Only your insurer can confirm your coverage, but we can tell you what information to ask for and, with participating insurers, check eligibility when we bill directly.

What if my CNESST or SAAQ claim is refused?

We explain the options before treatment starts. If a claim is refused, treatment already received may be billable to you or to your private insurance.

Which payment methods do you accept?

Please call the clinic to confirm the payment methods currently accepted.
