My pain started a few days after the accident. Is that normal?
Yes. Neck and back pain often appear or increase in the days after an accident. See a physician if you have warning signs such as severe headache, numbness, weakness or trouble walking.
Should I wear a neck collar?
For whiplash without a fracture, gentle movement is generally recommended over immobilization. Follow your physician's instructions and ask your physiotherapist which movements are safe.
